President’s Letter
By Bill Graff | Email
What a great time of the year at FP! The neighborhood looks so marvelous with a lot of Fall activity in full swing. As I write this column, the full-size candy bars are ready for Halloween and the thought of Christmas lights are also on my list – take advantage of this good weather right!!?? Preparation makes things easier, I’m sure you all agree! That said, your board has been busy preparing this last month for our 2025 budget, and advancing the projects that have been in play for a while. I am impressed with how everyone on the board took part in this important process with a special thanks to Kyle, our treasurer, for the streamlined budget process. One more important budget review with our Finance Committee, which is made up of former FP leaders and treasurers, and we will be ready to present our findings in the December newsletter.
Additionally, one last shout out, a quick reminder, that when trying to contact a board member please use the website exclusively to contact the board… PLEASE! Texting members, while they are managing their professional, and family lives, is not the best practice. I hope you know that the website (foxpoint.org) is where we should all meet/communicate when needing help and guidance in the neighborhood.
Enjoy the rest of the month and Happy Thanksgiving to you all – a real blessing in my life and that of my family is calling FP home!

2024 Santa Visits
As of the drafting of this newsletter, we unfortunately have not had any residents step forward to participate in the coordination committee for this year’s Santa visits.
With one set of individuals volunteering to play Santa and Mrs. Claus (for which we are incredibly grateful!), we are presently determining what opportunity we can provide, limited as it may be. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks. If this is one of those neighborhood culture activities near and dear to your heart, I encourage you to PLEASE volunteer your support on the planning committee.
2025 Event Committee Sign-up
And on that note, sign-up is now available for the 2025 Social Event Committees. In order for the continuation of the events we have come to expect in the Fox Point community, we need volunteers to take part in committees responsible for planning and executing each event.
More information and committee signups are available here.

What an amazing fall we have had so far! Beautiful sunny days have made this a fall to remember with our neighborhood transformed into a picturesque autumn scene. Now the holiday season is approaching. Whether you are looking for activities for the whole family, or a way to get into the holiday spirit, there’s something for everyone in the weeks to come. Please be sure you are receiving email updates from the village on all their festivities and events. If not, you can sign up here. Also check out the Fox Point website and newsletters as we update neighborhood events. Finally, Small Business Saturday is on November 30th. The main goal of this event is to give small businesses a revenue boost during the holiday shopping season and help them compete with their larger counterparts. Shop locally and support our community!
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
Common Grounds
By JASON EHLERT | Email
The common grounds department has been hard at work increasing the beautification of our neighborhood. Mums were planted at all entrances to the neighborhood a few weeks ago which look fantastic. I’m in the planning stages on making further improvements around the pool as well as the cul–de-sacs, which will come in the spring of 2025.
We have officially locked down the Lake Cook Road fence placement project which will begin on March 30th, 2025. This project will take 2-3 weeks to complete and should have minimal disruption to the neighborhood. Property owners that share this fence line received detailed instructions through certified mail. Those owners are responsible for maintaining any maintenance of trees or landscaping that is interfering with the current fence and future fence before this project kicks off and at all times after. At least 3 feet of clearance is required to complete the fence, as it is critical that all landscaping, trees, outside furniture, etc. are removed prior to this date. Items that are within this clearance, could be destroyed as the vendor starts replacing the fence. If there are any questions please feel free to contact me at grounds@foxpoint.org.
Thanks!
Safety and Welfare Report

As we move further into a beautiful fall season, the sun continues to set earlier which means it is time for that friendly reminder to keep your gas or electric lamps lit in the front yard! Yes, it is required by the HOA bylaws, but more even importantly it helps keep the neighborhood safe. If you need a recommendation for a vendor for either lamp repair or conversion from gas to electric, please contact me directly at safety@foxpoint.org.
Lake Report
By Steven Kipferl | Email
Hello neighbors!
Recently, there have been reports of beaver activity around the lake. Beavers tend to become more active during the fall season. If you have trees that you’re concerned about, please take appropriate measures to protect them. As a reminder, the homeowners association is not responsible for natural damage to private property or preventing natural damage to private property. This responsibility lies solely with each private homeowner. Therefore, please protect any trees you may be worried about near the lakefront. You’ll sleep better! For step-by-step guides on how to protect your trees, please check out the link below.

The boats at the rack have all been claimed. We appreciate those who reached out this year at the boat rack registration. Please stay tuned for further communication in the spring of 2025 for information about the lake committee.
If you have any questions, concerns, or wish for more information about the lake committee, please contact lake@foxpoint.org.
