The School District educates over 9,000 students from pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. It consistently ranks among the state’s top 5% school districts academically. Barrington High School has been named “Top 1000 High Schools” in the nation by Newsweek, and it has received an “Outperformer” award from Standard & Poors for academic achievement among school districts with similar demographics.

Arnett C. Barrington High School is the only high school in the Barrington 220 school district. It has been known for its innovative teaching programs. In 2013, it pioneered its much talked about, Business Incubator Program, believed to be the first of its kind in the nation. The innovative class teaches entrepreneurship to high school sophomores through seniors and has gained attention from school districts and media outlets nationwide. Other innovative courses include Project Lead the Way, Mobile App Development, and BHS-TV. The school educated just over 3,000 per year. Learn More
