President’s Letter
By Andrew Schwarz | Email
Greetings Neighbors, I’m honored to be taking over the role as President of the Fox Point Homeowners’ Association.
Since my family and I moved to the neighborhood in 2019, we’ve been amazed by Fox Point’s close-knit community, unique amenities, and connection to nature. Having served on the Board as Architecture Chair since 2022, I’m proud to work alongside a committed set of volunteers to maintain Fox Point’s status of one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Illinois. I’d like to thank our returning Board Members and extend a note of appreciation to our new chairpersons JoAnn Lee (Architecture), Michelle Minor (Secretary), Adam Clementi (Pool), and Jordan Linville (Tennis).
Preserving the essence of Fox Point does not solely rest on these Board members but on each and every resident to treat our neighbors, guests, facilities, and environment with respect. With that mind, thanks to all of YOU for being a part of this community and making it what it is. Warmth and well-wishes to you and your families during this winter season.

Your Board of Directors adopted the 2026 Annual Budget as proposed and published in December 2025 News which can be found here 2026 Annual Budget
The 2026 Annual Assessment is $1,765.
Our CPA, Picker & Associates, will mail invoices to all owners of record before February, month-end. The Assessment is for the 2026 calendar year and will be due no later than March 31, 2026. If your mailing address has changed or if you do not receive an invoice by February month-end, please contact Linda Smith at Picker & Associates at 847-541-4000 for a duplicate copy of your invoice.
2025 Financial Statement
We are in solid financial shape while continuously replacing legacy infrastructure and continuing our commitment to restoring the health of our lake. All these investments were funded without incurring debt and/or imposing a Special Assessment.
Fox Point reported $1.398M in cash and capital reserves at year end 2025.
Operating Expenses are mostly routine, recurring monthly, or seasonal expenses. The Association operated within its budget, offsetting unexpected expenses with savings in various other categories.
Capital Reserves are funds set aside and accumulated for major repairs, renewal, and replacements of assets as well as funding our ongoing commitment to restoring the health of Lake Louise. The installation of the Lake Cook fence was the most significant capital expenditure of 2025, renewing the useful life for several years.
Capital Projects targeted for 2026:
- Boat Yard Seawall – $175,000
- Lake Expenses – $77,500 – including Carp Barrier and fish stocking
- Asphalt Sealing – $40,000 – includes boat yard
- Pool Capital Expenses – $17,000 – general repairs and maintenance
Further information about these projects and the 2026 budget can be found in the December 2025 Newsletter.
The 2025 compiled Financial Statement, prepared by our CPA, can be found here Financial Statement.

In order for the continuation of the events we have come to expect in the Fox Point community, we need volunteers to take part in committees responsible for planning and executing each event.

Additional Communication Methods
I would like to highlight two other methods of communication for Social: the social email distribution list and Instagram. If you are interested in joining the email list, please email social@foxpoint.org to opt in – and please follow @foxpoint_barrington on Instagram. Please DM me on Instagram when you request to follow (especially if your handle does not make it obvious who you are) as it is a private account and I will only accept Fox Point residents.

As a new board member, I had the pleasure of meeting the entire board last month – a truly dedicated group!

Pool Report
By Adam Clementi | Email
Hi neighbors – my name is Adam Clementi, and I’m excited to begin service as the new Fox Point Pool Chair. Our family has been part of the community for many years, and the pool has always been a big part of where we spend our time. My goal as Chair is simple: keep the pool operational, safe, and enjoyable through proactive maintenance and open, two-way communication with residents.
I welcome feedback, questions, and ideas, and I look forward to working together to make this a great pool season for everyone! If you ever have a comment, suggestion, kudos or complaint, please help me document it by emailing pool@foxpoint.org and I will be sure to respond.
Tennis Report
By Jordan Linville | Email
I’m excited to be the new Fox Point Tennis chair, and while the courts won’t open until April, planning starts now! As in years past, we plan to have clean courts, both pickleball and tennis, summer kids tennis lessons, and an FP pickleball tournament. Other ideas and suggestions we’ve heard include:
- summer adult tennis lessons
- a Fox Point tennis tournament
- a Fox Point vs Wynstone pickleball tournament
- an online tennis directory (for finding a hitting partner)
If you would like to help with any of these and/or have additional ideas – please email tennis@foxpoint.org.
Looking forward to a great season!
