President’s Letter

Happy Spring, Fox Point! For all who had Spring Break, I hope you and your family enjoyed some wonderful time together.
As we do at this time each year, the board is working hard toward having our assets ready for the warm weather so we can all have a great summer! In addition to continuing work on the fence replacement and preparations for spring and summer landscaping, the lakewall project progresses, preparations for the pool opening are underway, and we have several social events on the books. We are poised for a busy spring that will lead us into an enjoyable summer. Thank you to all of the board members and committees for their continued hard work.
With the conclusion of the recent round of elections please be sure to remove candidate signs from your yard promptly as a courtesy to the neighborhood. We greatly appreciate neighbors keeping signage on their private property. Thank you.

Thank you to all the participants in the March Madness bracket pool! I wish my bracket put up a better showing, maybe next year (go IU!). Best of luck to all those still in the running for some great Fox Point prizes.

Civics Report

Fox Point Garage Sale: In past years, a neighborhood garage sale has been held in September. Due to low participation in 2023, we decided to cancel the event last year, but to revisit for 2025. Please email civic@foxpoint.org if you are interested in selling items at the garage sale with preferable date/month, as well as any suggestions on the event. Sellers would pay a small fee ($10 – $20) to cover signage and marketing. The hours would run from 9:00 – 3:00. Thank you!
Common Grounds Report
By Jason Ehlert | Email
This month we don’t have a ton to report from the commons ground area. The fence replacement project has been temporarily delayed as we are still working to secure permitting from the village. This project should get the permitting approved soon which will allow the vendor to move forward. As I mentioned in the last update, several meetings are scheduled with our landscaping vendors to plan projects for the spring. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback. Happy Spring!
Architecture Report

Please ensure all exterior alterations are reviewed by the Board, and stay tuned for updates on the new seawall at the Boat Landings area.
Kindly visit our Fox Point website or reach out to architecture@foxpoint.org for guidance on the alteration approval process. Thanks to the several homeowners who have engaged the Board already this year!
Last month we had our seawall contractor attend the Board meeting to share updates on the seawall. We’ve gotten the land surveyed and another meeting or two with the village is required before permitting approval and project commencement. We anticipate the wall will be installed this year.

As the weather goes up and down in April, you’ll begin to see more activity at the pool. We’ll be filling the pool and doing some maintenance work to get things ready for Memorial Day weekend. Hiring of pool staff is continuing, and it’s not too late to apply. Fill out your application HERE.
Later this month, we will be checking on any open balances from last season’s guests and awning rental fees. If you receive an email regarding past due fees, please act promptly.
And here’s a refresher on the programs we have planned for the 2025 season. We are considering some new options depending on interest and participation.
- Fox Point Swim Team
- Swim Lessons – ages 3-6 (pre-swim team, taught by FP Swim Team coaches) *registration information and signup will begin in late April
- Fox Point Water Polo Team
- Barrington Master’s Swim – M/W/F mornings (open to Fox Point residents)
- Awning Rentals – reservation system (Omnify) will open in mid-May
- Water Exercise Class – in review
- Baby Pool Weekday mornings – in review
